We're an independent automotive workshop based in Dunoon, Argyll. Here's a bit about how we started, how we work, and who carries out the work on your vehicle.
Zenvyxa came about from a fairly straightforward observation: too many vehicle owners were left confused after a garage visit, unsure what had actually been done, why it was necessary, or what the costs covered. The people involved in setting up this workshop had worked in the trade for over a decade and recognised that most customers simply wanted honest, clear service — not sales pressure.
We opened our workshop in Dunoon with a small team of experienced technicians, a focus on communication, and a deliberate approach to keeping things simple. The Argyll area has a mix of older and newer vehicles, many of which do significant mileage on rural roads. That context shapes how we approach service — we're practical rather than prescriptive.
We've grown steadily through repeat custom and referrals from local customers. We don't do aggressive marketing or offer deals designed to get vehicles in the door for upsells. Work is booked, carried out, and invoiced on honest terms.
Our approach is straightforward. We inspect, we report, and we ask before doing anything beyond what was agreed. That means customers receive a call or message before any additional work is carried out, a written or digital summary of findings, and a clear invoice that separates parts and labour.
We don't operate commission structures that incentivise selling unnecessary work. Technicians are assessed on the quality of their work and communication, not on revenue generated.
When we can't resolve something in-house — whether that's a highly specialised fault or a task outside our equipment range — we say so. We'd rather refer you to the right resource than attempt something we're not best placed to handle.
We contact you before any unplanned work. Findings are explained in plain language, not jargon.
Every inspection produces a written record. You keep a copy. We keep a copy.
We source from established suppliers and use the correct specification for each vehicle.
Parts and labour always listed separately. No charges for work not discussed.
Modern vehicles are significantly more complex than those from even a decade ago. Many routine tasks that once required only mechanical knowledge now depend on access to diagnostic software and calibration tools. We've invested in the equipment needed to work on current vehicle generations alongside older models.
Our workshop includes a professional-grade multi-brand diagnostic system capable of reading fault codes, viewing live data, and running actuation tests across most common makes sold in the UK. We also use proper equipment for brake fluid moisture testing, battery load testing, and cooling system pressure checks — areas where approximation leads to poor outcomes.
We update our diagnostic software and keep our equipment calibrated. Tyre fitting and wheel alignment are handled with laser-guided equipment. Work under the vehicle uses a proper four-post lift.
From a small team to a full workshop, Zenvyxa has grown through consistent, reliable service to the Dunoon and Argyll community.
Zenvyxa opens with a team of three technicians and a focus on routine servicing and diagnostics. The workshop takes on its first local customers through word-of-mouth referrals.
We add a wheel alignment system and invest in upgraded multi-brand diagnostic equipment. A fourth technician joins to support growing demand for suspension and brake work.
We appoint a dedicated parts coordinator to manage supplier relationships and ensure parts accuracy. This reduces turnaround time and order errors.
We begin taking on light commercial vehicle work from local tradespeople and small businesses. Fleet scheduling is managed through our existing booking system.
The current team of six handles the full range of services listed on this site. We continue to serve the Dunoon area with the same approach that defined the workshop from the beginning.
